Full List of Qualifying Benefits

To qualify for the ECO scheme, you or someone in your household, must:​

Own or privately rent your home, which has an EPC rating of A to E (If you're renting, we can offer insulation but not the boiler. Social housing properties aren't eligible.); and qualify for Universal Credits, Tax Credits, Child Benefit or another UK benefit allowance (please see full list qualifying criteria below).

▪    Income based Jobseeker’s allowance (JSA)
▪    Income related Employment & Support Allowance (ESA)
▪    Income Support (IS)
▪    Pension Credit
▪    Guarantee Credit
▪    Working Tax Credit (WTC)
▪    Child Tax Credits (CTC)
▪    Child Benefit (see income cap table below)
▪    Universal Credit (UC)
▪    Housing Benefit (new eligible benefit under ECO4)
▪    Pension Credit Savings Credit (new eligible benefit under ECO4)

The income bands for Child benefit have also changed.  Households will no longer be able to ‘self-certify’.  It is likely that redacted bank statements or wage slips will be required:

  IF You are a Single Claimant:  

  • One Child: £19,800

  • Two children: £24,600

  • Three Children: £29,400

  • Four or more: £34,200

IF you are claiming as a couple:

  • One Child: £27,300

  • Two children: £32,100

  • Three Children: £36,900

  • Four or more: £41,700
